The Michigan Family Resources Early Head Start program is designed to provide support to low-income families who need child care in order to work or complete high school. Two options are available:

Family Child Care Home
Early Head Start contracts with licensed family child care homes to provide enriched learning activities to Early Head Start children. Providers develop activities to promote each individual child’s development. Early Head Start Mentors visit the providers’ homes each week to ensure children are receiving high quality learning experiences in a safe environment.

Center-Based
3 center-based Early Head Start programs are located in Kent County.
