When your child enters the Head Start program, we perform a number of health and development screens, including vision and hearing tests, and then create an individual performance plan. We use this plan to track your child's health and progress in the classroom three times per year.

Head Start nurtures the entire child - providing a hot meal each day and helping the family arrange for medical services when needed. Staff members have early childhood education backgrounds and will give your child individual attention. Teachers use The Creative Curriculum™ as the framework for classroom lessons.

Founded in 1965, the federally funded Head Start program offers safe and consistent child development services for children age three and four years. To enroll, you need to meet federal eligibility guidelines.
