Children learn through experience. In addition to math, reading, science and art skills, Head Start students are taught about cooperation, problem solving and responsibility.

When your child enters the Head Start program, we perform a number of health and development screens, including vision and hearing tests, and then create an individual performance plan. We use this plan to track your child's health and progress in the classroom three times per year.

Head Start nurtures the entire child - providing a hot meal each day and helping the family arrange for medical services when needed. Staff members have early childhood education backgrounds and will give your child individual attention. Teachers use The Creative Curriculum™ as the framework for classroom lessons.
